Following the rules in Psionic Powers (pg. 21), it says that I can used Fixed Duration to have an affliction that would normally last 1 minute times margin of failure to instead last a static 3 minutes every time.
It also says I can modify that duration with reduced duration. My goal is to make it last one second, or, 1/180th the duration. The progression mapped out leads me to believe that I would be giving a -60% modifier for 1/200th (closest to 1/180th without being under it). Does this seem right? That seems like an awfully high limitation value. |

1/60 is -35% 1/100 is -40% 1/200 is -45% When a desired value (i.e., 1/180) falls between two limitations, you should use the value for the lesser limitation, not the closest (you haven't taken enough of a limitation to earn the higher point break*), so 1/180 would be -40%. * and in this case, you can't, as the_matrix_walker points out |
