While playing this game we ran into a little arguement. When a new game is started and someone draws divine intervention, everyone is allowed to become a cleric if possible (as far as i could find on the forum). Now the following situation occurs:
One player is lvl 9 and dies. He looses all items and cards. In his next turn he gets new cards and happens to get both a cleric card and a divine intervention. Is he allowed to become a cleric BEFORE showing the divine intervention? My arguement against it is that as soon as he gets the card he must play it, leaving no room for becoming a cleric. The other arguement is that this situation is the same as the start of the game in which the player is allowed to become a cleric and get that level. As a seperate question: Is it allowed to annihilate a winning divine intervention? |

I am pretty sure it is "Yes" to both questions.

Depends how it went down.
If he drew all his cards without looking at them, glanced at his hand and said "I'm going to be a Cleric...what else..? Hey I got Divine Intervention! I WIN!"and then did a dance.... I would definitely allow it.... before immediately Annihilating D.I. But if he picked up his cards one at a time looked at them, played D.I. and then drew a Cleric card and tried to play it, I'd be pretty reluctant accept it for the win. If it wasn't my deck, and everyone agreed it was legal, I'd play Annihilate on his Cleric card.

I always draw all 8 of my cards at once, before looking at any of them, when coming back after death.
