Hello everyone
I will give you some information here for you to finish your characters. Currently the player roster is as follows. Recruitment open! Galenbd: Makal Jungali Case: Tasser Nephelem Momothefiddler: Jordyn Dunhollow The campaign will take place on the world Ithea. There will be a multitude of races and yours will be the Boirer(san). Culture Boirer everyone wants to have the status, immortality and magic belonging to a Boirersan. Though they form the vast majority they are second class and have little political/military influence. At most they do the year to year business of a city. Everyone is keen on quality so apprenticeship is long but rewarding. They have a healthy suspicion of shady objects. There is money in the cities but they also use favours to pay for things with trusted boirer. There is a lot less money on the countryside, since the communities are less subject to chance they often use favours or barter with each other. A lot of people work for shelter and food in both the city and the countryside. The national sport is Fairo: A game where each competitor throws special rocks in order to get a hold of the most territory. Some games that are played regulary are: Mikado, Hierdemain a game where you’ve got to protect your farm using a deck of cards, Simplified war chess and several other card/dice games. Boirersan culture The Boirersan culture is one that resembles one giant feudal court. Everyone owns a duty to someone and had favours from that one and has another as vassal. Conflicts are solved through “behind the curtains” work and social subtleties. Boirersan who have fallen in status can eventually get back higher up and most will have forgotten about why he fell in the first place or find that matter of no importance. In the c they often visit the Theatre or Opera. Fully expanded war-chess and Mikado are still much enjoyed games. They live in large dome-like cities made of some sort of black rock. It is a separate community and normally not accessible to Boirer. The Samul The Samul is the whole process of becoming a Boirersan. The 3 most common ways to enter this ritual are: 1 -Be of noble blood and this is a ritual performed by one of the parents who already did the ritual. 2- Do it yourself, this requires a minimum IQ of 15 or Life magic 20. 3 – Be chosen by a Boirersan who will perform the Samul with you in exchange for your future service. The reason who not everyone undergoes the Samul is that is a dangerous rite to perform for both sides. Though the chance is not too high, no immortal wants to risk his life for another without return. For the Boirer the Samul is shrouded is great mysteries and for those who did it and live to tell the tale, it is a horrific happening worse than any battle wound or mental illness. The Immortality Boirer/san minds are not build for eternity though their bodies might roam forever their minds wear over the ages. Friends even lovers who don’t see each other for ages will treat each other like strangers when they finally meet. Normal “full” memory, like you would remember the past year, extends about an age in the past, with photographic memory this becomes about a millennium. After that your memory starts to fail. It is possible to use sheer force of will the extend your memory span though this will result in mental trauma. Religion The Boirer believe in a large pantheon of gods. God worship is part of various social happenings throughout society. It is normal to praise a god before doing something of importance, this might be a birthday, final test of your apprenticeship or the final battle in a siege. Worship is normally done through meditation, gifts or doing favours for the local place of worship. It is normal to be affiliated to a specific god and unusual to worship equally (Quirk). Not worshipping at all is a Social stigma and denying their existence a delusion. Though they rarely intervene directly they are meddling with the world. Appearance Boirer They are about as tall and have a smaller frame than humans. Their weight is 10% less. Their skin is somewhat leathery though not enough to offer protection to anything more than mosquitos. The colour of it is a dark green/brown with some parts more green and others more brown. Boirersan After the Samul, Boirer appearance changes quite a bit. Their bodies have a crystalline flesh structure. If you would look closely at the “skin” you can see that is slightly transparent and see some arteries in it. The colour has become an Amber/Yellowish one and the darker the older the person is. This can be sped up significantly if the person was transformed well into his life as a Boirer. Their body is also less rounded and looks more like a crystal. They have no body hair whatsoever. They are also completely asexual and any beauty they possess is automatically androgynous. In the IC thread I will continue to give extra information.
