In a game that we played an argument occurred ( imagine that ~! )
A player played Potion of Ennui and then a player played DEAD END please clarify if this could or not happen ? since i wan a play the game and they don't play until they clarify that :P in addition i would like to please tell me an example for each case that dead end can be used on munchkin bites! What are the cards that DEAD END is referring too ? difference between discard and vanish ? |

Potion of Ennui cancels the combat.
Dead End makes you re-roll your run away roll. No. You could not play Dead End after Potion of Ennui, since there is nobody running away. |

Just as a clarification for other cards. Even if a card says a player must re-roll even if escape was automatic that is not the same as a card that ends the combat.

Yeah, and an example of such a point where you could play it is when you discard a Minion to automatically escape the monsters. Somebody can then immediately play Dead End on you and you will need to roll to run away from the monsters like a normal Run Away roll so your Minion was wasted.

I still need clarification on the last 2 questions of the original post !
What are the situations where the monster vanish ??? What the difference of vanish and discard ? The only card I found in the box that could be referring is this potion!!! |

The card says "makes the pursuers vanish." This means that the player must have given up and decided to Run Away. There are cards, mostly in sets other than Munchkin Bites, that can be played when the munchkins are Running Away from the Monsters that would make a Monster go away (Magic Lamp from Munchkin is an example of such a card).
Dead End can not be played after Potion Of Ennui since that is not Running Away from the Monsters, using an automatic escape or making a pursuer vanish. Technically, the card represents a victory for the Munchkins, just a fruitless one. . . |
