How does one defeat the Cattywampus? If you are stronger than it, you have to run away. Or am I reading that wrong?

If you are stronger than it, you Run Away. If you aren't you gain a Level and Treasure.

If you are at Level 1 and no bonus, you win. If you play Enhancers on its combat bonus gets higher than yours, you win. It's actually pretty easy to kill, since there are more cards to give the Monster a plus than a minus.

For reference: In this context catawumpus (sometimes pronounced cattywumpus, giving the name to the joke here), means askew or awry. Another good synonym would be topsy-turvy, hence the flipped state of how one must defeat Cattywumpus, by being in a condition where one would normally lose to it.
