Something odd I've just found out and wonder why.
I am currently making a Swashbuckler for Dungeon Fantasy and was about to add my 2 favorite advantages (Luck and Fit) when I noticed something unusual. The Swashbuckler and the thief do not have access to the fit advantage. All lenses for Swashbuckler I've seen has Fit and Very Fit available. All other "fighters" have it available. I agree that not all Swashbuckler shall have Fit, but some would. The same goes for the thief. So does anyone know why it's not there? Thanks

To differentiate the standard professions a bit more. Scouts get it because of the healthy outdoor living; knights get it because they're tanks; and barbarians get it because both of those statements apply to them. Martial artists get it because all they do is perfect their body. Everybody else doesn't get it as a template trait, which mostly just means that it isn't something you can earn later with points – nothing prevents you from spending leftover points on it at the start, which is why it's on the Suitable Advantages list.
Generally, that's how DF templates work: Putting a trait on one makes it accessible with earned points in play. However, if the GM has no objections, then anyone with enough points left over (for whatever reason) could buy anything from Chapter 2 of DF 1. Templates mostly channel later development.
