Munchkin Zombies Questions

I have (3) questions.

(1) For the "Curse!" card "CAAAAAAAANES!"

The card reads:

If it is played on a Munchkin who DOES NOT have any items whose bonus is +3 but DOES have three +1 or plus +2 items IN PLAY and an item IN HAND, they must discard TWO items.

Which items must they discard? Items in play or items in hand? Or a combination?

(2) For the "Steal Tasty Brains!" card

The card reads:

My question is about when this card must be declared. The card reads "... after you are accepted..." but does not specify when it CANNOT be played after you are accepted as a helper. "After" is a bit vague and can be interpreted as "after accepted as a helper and before the combat is over" or "after accepted as a helper immediately."

So... immediate or whenever so long as it's before combat is over?

(3) For the last question, which actually concerns Munchkin Bites, the card is "Schadenfreudian Slip" which reads:

My question is: CAN THIS BE THE WINNING LEVEL? I'm thinking that it cannot seeing as the rules clearly say "The first player to reach Level 10 wins . . . but you must reach Level 10 by killing a monster, unless a card specifically allows you to win outside of combat."

But I figured I'd ask anyways just in case...
