I just got the Munchking Fu game. For samurai's ability "sword" ability, does it have to have the word sword, wakizashi or katana in it? I ask because there are a number of items that don't have that in the name but do seem to be swords

The rules for the Samurai are pretty clear on that one. If it doesn't have 'sword' in the name, isn't the katana, isn't the waskizashi and the card doesn't say that it is a sword in some other manner, then it is not a sword.

Yes, it has to have the word "Sword" in the name unless it is the katana or the wakishazi, per the instructions under "Fast Draw" ability.

Thanks. That's unfortunately what I thought, but I wanted to be sure. It seems like an almost usesless ability though since there are only two cards in the entire munchkin fu sets that fits the requirements. I mean the indian class has basically the same ability but with bows, and in one set alone has four cards that can be utilized with it
