We had this discussion while playing witht he XMas expansions.
One player drew the Naughty card and decided to put it in play. The card allows You(if I can remember right as I dont have the card in front of me) to discard a card and put a monster into play during anyones combat. Our discussion came from the point that the player who was "naughty" took a monster card from the discard pile to put into combat against other players. We argued that doing so would make him too powerful and he could essentially pull any monster out to stop any player from winning. We thought it should come from his hand, like a wandering monster, otherwise, you'd control the whole game, keeping everyone low level while you built up. Whats everyone's take, or the "official" ruling? Thanks! |

Well, the official ruling is that this has to be a Monster from the Naughty player's hand. Any card that allows you to play a card, or add a Monster to the combat, requires you to play it from your hand unless it says otherwise.

On a related note, are you only allowed to wander one monster per combat or can you wander multiple monsters as long as you make a discard for each monster you would like to wander with the naughty ability?
