Ok so I saw that there were other threads about this card, but they all seemed to be speculation as to what it was before it came out. This is about the rules. If this has been answered I apologize and respect it being taken down (but please give me an answer).
Anyway . . . I noticed that the Moat says that you may take ANY card in play and place it on the moat. I assume this means you can steal another persons card. That I figured, what I am wondering is if this then maks the card work like a cheat. i.e. Can I as a Thief use the Moat on the Staff of Napalm (usable by Wizard only) and then potentially have a +6 card that is only lost on death and I would not otherwise be able to use? |

Not exactly. The Marvelous Magenta Moat says nothing about granting you the ability to use the Item if you couldn't already, it just says you can't lose it and it gets a better bonus. It actually says to put an Item in play on the Moat, which says nothing about taking an Item from another player, and could be implied to state that you may only play a new Item to it. Andrew will have to speak further on that, but for now:

Place any Item in play on the Moat.
Ok so does this mean you can place any Item already in play on the Moat or that you must place an item into play and thus onto the Moat? |
