Rule Check: AxeCop - Bad Guys Cheat
Ok, so we had a game where a player (A) was fighting a "Level 12 Chicken Head" which is "-4 against Soldiers" making it a 8. The player was a level 3 and had equipment that made him an effective level 7. He asked for and received help from a second player (B) and effectively they were a level 18 or 19. Another player (C) threw in "Bad Guys Cheat" which states "Play during any combat. Double the level of the highest level monster in combat at the moment this card is played".
The argument C made was that the level of the monster was 12 and therefore it was a now a 24, where the other side (A&B) was stating that is was a 8 with a new effective level of 16. The C argument was that it the card did not say effective level, just "highest level". The A&B argument was that the monster appeared to a "Soldier" and started out weakened at a minus 4.
This even divided the MiBs at the table. Can we get some clarification?
