hello! i am new to the Illuminati game and find it discouraging that i am unable to locate the Bavarian Fire Drill expansion anywhere. will these ever be printed again? seems like an absolute essential to the game.

Not really, they will be printed eventually.
The deluxe box set is essential plus fun expansions to make the decks bigger and a bit more random. Y2K, MAD and IIRC the BFD had artefacts in which was cool. Playing blind with the umpteen cards and if you want 2 cards you make up, just to confuse the UFOs. |

Phil Reed said yesterday that we do not have a reprint scheduled currently. Just wanted to clarify your statement.

Just to clarify the expansions:
Y2K added 2 new Illuminati and several supporting groups that got better if you were playing specific Illuminati. Plus a load of new groups. BFD added the small number of Artifacts to the game and the rules to use the Artifacts. Plus a load of new groups. NWO added New World Order Cards and the rules for them. Plus a couple of additional cards. |

I'm looking for a copy as well, I think our best bet for the time being is to check local game shops who may have one. Doesn't look like a reprint is coming soon.

i've checked around and no luck. Barnes & Noble's got one on their site for $1,256.68!! Tax: $106.82 + Shipping: $3.99 for a whopping $1,367.49!!
one reason i see this expansion as essential is that i brings in even more relevant and up to date groups. was popularity for the game waning at the time BFD came out? was it a short print run? just wondering why it is so hard to find... |
