Fairy Dust Rule Q

Hello all, and thanks in advance. If someone is forced into helping in combat (i.e. kneepads, charm spell, etc), does said person still get to draw a fairy dust card? The rules only indicate helping, but the spirit of the booster seems like it would only be helping on purpose.
