Hi. I recently bought Super Munchkin. I don't have the expansion yet but I plan on getting it. One thing I noticed with this set is how heavily the set is geared towards the offensive. People are getting their combat scores into the 30s with all the powers, items, and other things. I don't dislike the set at all, it just very pro-player.
Is there anything I can do to tilt the balance a little bit back towards the defensive to even it out? What about any of the boosters? Or is there a more defensive set to mix it with? Thoughts everyone? |

Hmm...
*imagines a League of Villains style booster pack*... **hears Andrew talking about how it's not cost effective, there isn't enough interest, and it wouldn't fit into the calendar until 2015** hehe :)

Consider the genre. Munchkin Fu usually ends up with significantly buffed up characters pretty quickly, too. Bites! is the opposite.

I wholeheartedly agree, whats worse is that usually one person ends up being too powerful in Super with the rest of the players just trying to catch up...I blame it on Touching the Ancient Idol. XD

Actually thats a pretty good idea...lol
I'm actually saving some money to just buy the remaining sets and boosters I need in one major swoop. What we do right now is usually combine the set with one that's not so player friendly like Munchkin Cthulhu (matter of fact Cthulhu and Super were my first two sets ever), I personally call it the Vertigo deck after the comic publisher that does those Superhero/Ancient gods series (Sandman, Swamp Thing)
