Default King Tut and death

I faced King Tut and Plutonium Dragon in one battle and had to run away. I tried to Run away from the dragon, but failed and died. I don't suffer bad stuff from King Tut, because I'm already dead, but should I lose 2 levels due to losing to King Tut without even running from him?

Once your dead from the dragon you no longer need to finish rolling to run away from whatever monsters may be left.

Once your dead no more bad stuff can happen to you.

Yes, once you're dead, normally you don't have to worry about other Monsters, but Monsters like King Tut sure do make things interesting. I'd say the wording on Monsters like that allow for some reprieve if you're previously deceased before you choose to Run Away from them, but I'm feeling generous today. . .
