Default Wandering Monster and Forced Assistance

Apologies if this has been previously answered...

Here is a scenario:

Player A (Level 8) is fighting a monster that she can probably kill if no one hinders her. However, it is a high level monster that gives 2 levels if she wins, resulting in her being the winner of the game.

In an effort to ensure victory, she uses a card that forces another high-level player (Player B - Level 9 - Not an Elf) into the battle.

Here are my questions:

1) Player B, having been involuntarily tossed into battle, chooses to toss in a low level Wandering Monster that can be easily defeated along with the existing high-level monster. Since Player B is in this battle, does Player B get the level from the Wandering monster that he played (and thus, also win the game in a tie), or would this level go solely to the originator of the battle?

2) Can Player B choose to be uncooperative and opt to attempt to run away from the monsters, leaving Player A alone again?

This is also assuming that my understanding of Wandering Monsters is correct in that you would go up the indicated number of levels per monster plus obtain all of their treasures.

Any thoughts on this?

Barring some special card that says otherwise, Player B will never get any levels from the combat.

I also not sure what card could be used to compel someone to help you if you are already capable of winning the combat on your own. Usually you can only get help if you are already losing.

Player B, also, cannot choose to leave the battle (unless a special card allows it- there are a few- but that is not the same as "running away"). They CAN play stuff to try to make the Munchkins LOSE the battle. Just because you are forced to join the battle doesn't mean you can't sabotage it.

I highly doubt that the forced assistance card can be used to gain the winning level. What card is it and what does it specifically say?

1) Since Player B is not an elf he won't get a level for helping kill the monsters. The levels would go solely to Player A.

2) No. If they're in together, they fight together. Once Player B is in he cannot voluntarily leave unless he has a card that specifically lets him do so.

Your understanding of Wandering Monster is correct. The original player battling the monster would get all the levels and whatever treasures are left over from his agreement with Player B.

Player B is forced into battle, but he can still try to sabotage the battle to make Player A not win. Example: he could add lots of enhancers to the Monster to make Player A and himself lose.

I'm not as doubtful, but it depends on which sets were being used. . .

At any rate, let's leave it at the name of the card, since completely quoting cards is something we frown upon here. It's not really fair to convince someone to perform an action that would get us frowny. I have access to the production database, so I can find card text faster than a physical card hunt, and it's more convenient to me to find the text rather than editing/deleting a post for non-compliance.

There are cards other than Elf which would allow a helper to get a Level. Again, which sets and expansions are involved affect their availability. . .

The scenario is flawed from the start; player A cannot bring a helper into a fight that player A is currently winning. That said, if player B is helping in a fight, player B is still free to add monsters, buff up monsters that are already there, and otherwise make life difficult for the about-to-win player A. Player B cannot unilaterally choose to Run Away, however; that choice is player A's only.
