Generosity Question

Okay, another bugger!

Player A is an Elf. He has 2, 1-handed items, and one set of footgear, and headgear (for a total of 4 times (2+1+1)). He is carrying 3 potions. There are 6 players playing, and he gets hit with Generosity. He clearly has 2 treasure cards in his hand.

Generosity states: You must give every other player one item from those you havein play, if you run out of items, anyone whod din't get something may draw two cards from your hand until you run out...

So,
Once he was hit with Generosity, which order does he have to give the cards up in? Since "In play" is different from Carried, he has to give up the Footgear, headgear and 2-1handed items first, or can he start with giving away the poitions then those items instead?
