The last of the vehicles featured in the Raider of the Lost Ark chase scene (the stats for the horse can be found in Basic):
Design Notes (Supplemental): I created this design using Vehicles rather than the MVDS to reflect it's post-war origins. This probably has little bearing on the design except for the price, as noted below. Dnepr MT-11 with Sidecar (TL7) The Dnepr motorcycle has its origins in the German BMW R71 motorcycle. This motorcycle was license-built by the Soviet Union in 1940. After the war, KMZ continued to produce motorcycles based on the German Wanderer design, which was confiscated as reparations. Production of a military motorcycle (the M-72) began in 1952, with the Dnepr motorcycle being introduced in 1967 to celebrate the Great October Socialist Revolution. In the 1970s, these bikes were marketed in the UK as Cossack motorcycles. After the fall of the Soviet Union, production ceased. The bike's origins might help explain why is it featured in Raiders of the Lost Ark as a 1930s German military bike. The MT-11 features two-wheel drive (the sidecar wheel is attached to the transmission). The bike features two cycle seats, and a sidecar for another passenger and cargo storage. The MT-11 burns 1.1 gallons of gasoline per hour. Subassemblies: Body +0, Sidecar +1, 3 Standard wheels -3. Powertrain: 28-kW wheeled drivetrain with 28-kW standard gasoline engine, 900-kWs lead acid battery. Fuel: 5 gallons gasoline in standard fuel tank (Fire 11). Occupancy: 1 NCS, 1 NPS. Cargo: 5 cf (in sidecar). Armor All: 3/5 Equipment: Body: Receive-only radio. Statistics: Size: ?' Payload: 0.37 tons Lwt.: 0.74 tons Volume: 6 + 20 cf. Maint.: 298 hours Price: $4,512 HT: 12. HPs: 30 Body, 6 each Wheel, 33 Sidecar. gSpeed: 78 gAccel: 5 gDecel: 10 gMR: 1 gSR: 3 Ground Pressure Very High. 1/8 Off-Road speed. Design Notes: Body is 6 cf; wheels are 4.3 cf (on the bike); the sidecar is 30 cf with an additional 2.2 cf wheel. Structure is Medium, Standard for Body and Light, Standard for Sidecar. Armor is Standard Metal overall; the armor on the Body is Open Frame. Mechanical controls. Empty weight is 742 lbs. Calculated gSpeed was 98 mph. Currently, a classic Dnepr motorcycle sells for about $6,500. Price in WWII dollars is $451. Variants: The MT-9 was a development of the K-650, originally released in 1967. It featured a new, more reliable transmission with a reverse gear. The MT-10 featured 12-volt electrics.
