Is anyone here experienced in making your own game?
I'm thinking about using the blank Munchkin Fu cards, due to their blank white space which wouldn't interfere with color schemes. The only problem is the backs of them. Is there a simple way to cover it up or alter it? What about card text? Handwritten or printed some how? Any answers are greatly appreciated! |

If you are trying to make your own completely original play deck, you might be better off getting some business card stock to print your text on one side and custom art on the other.

Any office supply store will definitely have business card kits. I think I've even seen them at Walmart and Target too. You can also get thin sheet lamination to stick onto them for protection when your done.
To begin though, until you have all the cards tested and balanced, cutting index cards in half and writing on those will save you some cost.

To get uniform card backs, I would probably suggest using card sleeves with an opaque back. While Cardstock will do the trick (being thick enough that you can't see what's printed on the reverse side), the sleeves will have the added benefit of protecting the cards you've made. The sleeves will also allow you to scribble all you want on the Cardstock (or whatever material you decide to use), and to save paper you can even use the reverse side for major revisions to the card.
Another advantage to sticking your home-made cards into sleeves is that if you also stick your official Munchkin sets in similar sleeves, then you can mix in your home made cards and they will all be entirely uniform. [Note: I would get two colours/patters of sleeves, one for Doors and the other for Treasures.]
