Default Cool Advantage Combinations

I'm seriously thinking of taking (for my world jumping character) Jumper (World), with the Tracking enhancement, and Snatcher. That way, I can attempt to find (and jump to) new worlds by Snatching items from those worlds.

It would be a limitation on jumper?

Why would it be? She can jump to worlds without using the items she snatches.

Oh. I think I'd understood backwards then.

It could work in reverse? Snatching something from a defined quantum coordinate?

I'd imagine that conveyors are generally more reliable. Range is an edge for natural jumpers, who don't have to recalibrate for new destinations, and who can reach further quanta, even exceeding the two-quanta limit of projector/conveyors, at a large FP cost.

As the ability is described, you're not supposed to be able to define where you Snatch items from, in order to prevent specific acts of thievery.

This is a neat idea, but I can't see it adding much outside of a solo game unless there's some way for the rest of the PCs to go along, too... "Hey guys, I just followed this pair of fuzzy dice to a whole world of hot-rodding octopi currently in its 1950s!" "That's nice... Too bad we can't get the coordinates and send a Conveyor there, we could use an eight-armed mechanic..."

I am planning on buying something to allow the rest of the group to come along too, either in character generation or in-game.

Wait, don't Jumpers and Conveyors have comparable range and accuracy in IW?

Problem solved, then. ;]

Yes AFAICT from discussion here without owning the IW book, but does one translate directly to the other without significant effort? I thought Infinity had to search long and hard (and even then get lucky) to obtain the mechanical coordinates for worlds discovered by "organic" jumpers...

(Basic, pg 64): Jumper: New Worlds
... wouldn't it be cheaper to just take this enhancement instead? [+50] vs [+80] for an unmodified Snatcher?
