A heated argument came up in my most recent game that wasn't explicitly covered in the rules from what I could find though I'm confident I was correct and would like to get that verified.
Once someone has agreed to help in combat they are now stuck aiding in that combat and cannot then refuse to help right? Everyone is level 9 and I manage to persuade an Elf to help me win the fight. They do believing they'd win in a mutual tie. Instead after I have secured their help (and began counting down proving they were helping) I stop and play I think it was "Curse! Everything Is Relative!": all other players lose one level. This makes it so that I would be the sole winner. Though now they refuse to help me and while I try to say that once helping, he's stuck in combat with me aiding me, everyone else begins to argue that he can change his mind and run away. So, if a player agrees to help in a combat under what circumstances if any can he change his mind or refuse to aid in the combat. |
