Well I've taken the plunge and finally decided to assemble and paint up my largeish hoard of Ogre-GEV miniatures. I had some done, but wanted to finish 'em all up before our next wargame day (and now will be hosting a game at a game con here in NJ in July). I'm chronicling the process over at my blog, complete with plenty of pictures. Enjoy!

Looks like you are off to a great start!

Of course this reminds me that I have not updated my Ogre blog for a looooong time.

Yep, I've subscribed, just keep the OGRE/GEV goodness coming.

Well, not only are my minis now in a usable state (not quite 100% there yet, but looking good enough on the ol' terrain table), but the local gaming group gave them a test spin yesterday and I made a couple of new converts. We'll be playing on a regular basis now, and at least one of my fellow gamers is about to take the plunge and buy a lot of lead from Warehouse 23.

Hey guys in charge, if you're reading this, what would it take to get those miniatures back into production? The variety available from W23 is somewhat lacking, and the after market is, shall we say, Premium Pricing.

A report of the game itself: http://greyhawkgrognard.blogspot.com...cardboard.html

And a look at some of the mostly-finished figures, including three of my Ogres: http://greyhawkgrognard.blogspot.com...le-armies.html

Yeah, the current list is (after some fiddling with budgets) nearing $200 from W23. I picked up the PDF mini rules last night... It's threatening to take my plane-reading time away from that other printout I said I'd get through!

I, too, would definitely be interested in new production runs of quite a few figures. I can name a half dozen Ogre types that I could use in my collection, and it'd make starting that Combine collection much less difficult, too.

Right, I'll stop with the off topic now. Nice pics, Grog. I expect to see some more, and keep in mind my wash advice!
