A TL10 setting with some superscience. Advice from HT firearms gurus very applicable.
I was thinking about an upcoming combat situation and the bullets legally available in the setting. A pc would be encountering a thief at melee range; pc armed with a semi-auto pistol, loaded with memory baton rounds. How long does it take a memory baton round to remember its shape? Would using the point blank shotgun rule be OTT, eg at less than 10% half-dam range, treat memory batons as hollow points? (HP being the catch-all term for Dum-Dum-esque non-optimal penetration rounds). Also, would it be possible to have a multi-feed firearm? The basic service pistol has a 30 round box mag; could there be a similar sized weapon with twin 14 round or quad 6 round... Yes, very Judge Dredd "Double Whammy!"
