Sandals of Protection

Here is my question. If you have Sandals of Protection equipped (All drawn door curses have no effect on you) can you theoretically keep that in your hand, since it doesn't affect you, to play later? Or since it is a drawn curse does it have to be played immediately?

No. The Curse fizzles and is discarded, just like any other Curse that hits you but has no effect.
