Default How-to calculate ground vehicle towing aircraft?

On p. 96 (last paragraph of first column) of GURPS Vehicles, there are rules for towing a flying vehicle with a ground vehicle. The part that I'm wondering about is what happens once the towed vehicle becomes airborne. The passage reads "recalculate (the towing vehicle's) top speed and acceleration, increasing its effective loaded weight by the aerodynamic drag of the flying vehicle". As aero' drag is not part of the equation for calculating ground speed, I am not sure what operation should be performed to increase the loaded weight - is the towed vehicle's aero drag added to or multiplied by the towing vehicle's loaded weight? Or is there something I have missed?

Thanks!
