Has anyone ever used the weapon spirit enchantment? If so, how did you model it in game? I'm trying to make a special weapon that has acquired a spirit and the only thing I've got that comes close to it is that enchantment from Magic (p. 64) but it gives no examples that I can find on who to actually implement it in the game.

The end of the Material Magic chapter of Thaumatology(Items As Characters, p118, Willful And Sapient Items, p116, etc) seems like it would be handy, depending on the weapon's capabilities and what you mean by "model".
Can the weapon maneuver under its own power? Can it influence its wielder's movements? Can it just talk? Can it sling destructive energies regardless of the wielder's wishes? Are you wanting to assign it a point total, perhaps as an Ally? Are you wanting to determine how much money it's worth, whether for Signature Gear or if they sell it? Are you wanting to assign it stats, either for acting on its own initiative or influencing its wielder? If you're trying to decide on its capabilities, the simplest implementation has the weapon capable of sensing its surroundings and talking. This mostly matters out of combat, where it acts like any other NPC with opinions, goals, and commentary, but it can also shout good or bad advice during combat.

Beautiful! Thank you! I had completely forgotten about Thaumatology since it's on my flash drive and not my hard drive. Fixed that problem! Again, a million times thanks!
