space combat and mass combat examples?

I am very impressed by theMook's combat examples, and I was wondering whether there are other, similar examples for mass combat and space combat. I'm looking at them both and trying to figure out how they work in practice, and it's tough. I want to have a good idea of how things work in practice before I go about imposing either on my players, and while the examples in the book do help somewhat it can be tricky to have a sense of how it all fits together, you know? Thanks!
