How to hide an item?

When I add a trait, lets say an advantage (using the 'Advantages' tab), I can right click in the right window (where I just added the advantage) the context menu than shows me 'Show' which expands to 'Show Hidden Items'. This leads me to the conclusion that there are hidden items. But how can I hide an item?

Background is, that I would like to add an advantage which doesn't show up on the character sheet.
