A standard trope in dungeon fantasy, in modern MOOs no less than in D&D, is starting with a "first level" character and hacking your way to greatness and wealth.
How would you handle this in GURPS DF? What point values would you use for starting PCs? How would you assign character points for advancement? How fast would you give them out and how restrictive would you be in how they are spent? How would you handle treasure? How much money would a character be expected to have accumulated by X point value? How many magic items would they be likely to have at any given point in their career?
