Default Chez Cthulhu help {Madness}

I'm new to this game and I'm having a problem understanding how the Madness system works and the whole negative slack thing. Let me just jot this down before I go on:

EDIT: Rules text removed by moderator.

Explain to me 4-6. Is that saying 4, 5, 6 each count as -1 slack or -3 slack each? Also, the Stark Raving Mad token. Does it count as all 10 Madness tokens or when you get it does it go back to as if you had 0 Madness? Slack wise at least.

Also, if you could just give an over view of how you deal with Madness, that would be great. The rules don't deal so well with explaining it, in my opinion.

When you have between four and six points of Madness, your total negative Slack from Madness is three. That means that once you get to 3 Madness, gaining another point of Madness doesn't affect your Slack total. Then, once you get to 7 Madness, you start to benefit from getting more.

Once you go Stark Raving Mad, you stop dealing in Madness tokens; you're totally nuts. As the rules say, you don't lose Madness at that point, and you gain Slack instead of further Madness.

Not much else to it, really. Being partially nuts (having Madness) is a drag, so it costs you Slack. However, dealing in bulk gets you a discount, and once you go totally off your rocker, it's all good.
