Apologies if this one was already covered in the custom perks thread but I got square eyes after page 30. :-)
In my fantasy campaign, elves have access to special bows. These are not available to other races and would rarely, if ever, come up on the open market. Is it therefore reasonable to say this is a perk? Elven Bow: You may purchase and begin play with an elven bow. Thanks for your help, Ian ** EDIT ** Actually I think this is simply a form of the Better (Gear) perk from Power-Ups 2. Last edited by Ryhope Wood; 09-01-2010 at 02:50 AM. Reason: Looked through Power-Ups 2 again! |

Yeah, allowing access to normally restricted gear is perfectly legit as a perk. Think of it as a perk level Unusual Background.
Of course, if these bows are like TL3 nukes or something, a perk level UB isn't enough :P |
