I haven't paid much attention to Cleric up until now, but Income Tax Curse and Cleric could put someone in a really bad position. Anyone used this combo at any point in time?
Definitely something to keep an eye on when I'm playing in the future. What does everyone think is the best Cleric combo?

You do realize that if the Cleric take a face up card in the Kick the Door phase of his turn, he is affected by the Curse as if he had just drawed the card face-up himself, right?
That said, how does that combo works?

Yeah, you would put the curse on yourself before kicking down the door, and then once again as a resurrection.
Well, there are few scenarios I suppose. - Let's say you have two items you can't use that have "no value", you can just cast the curse on yourself and discard both. Everyone else would have to discard two items, depending on their items, if they have any they would lose their good items or equipment while you practically lost nothing. - There's a few monsters that make you lose all/some your items, that person would have to lose 2 extra levels on top if you use up any two of your items. - If you have a card with a high cost.. like Wand Of Dowsing.. or Pollymorph Potion. Not everyone might be able to pay straight up. So they might lose all their items and then level on top of that, another "no value" card might make them lose two levels. I'm sure there's tons more combos, and it would depend on the situation, but Income Tax is one of the few that you can somewhat turn to your advantage.

Any good door card used in this fashion becomes an awesome cleric combo. It is also relatively easy to stop by discarding a card on top of whatever card the cleric is trying to recycle. There are many legal ways to do this ;)

Your no value scenario doesn't work because then no one has to give up anything.

I don't recall if it's in the FAQ but it has been discussed before. Here
