NFS-carrying extra items

NFS is short for Need for Steed. We just got the expansion and we're likely to have many questions so I'm hoping the NFS will help keep the posts categorized.

Anywhom, Player A has a steed that allows him to carry any extra Big item.

Is it the Steed actually carrying the item, or does Player A need an available hand(s) for the additional Big item should that be necessary?

If in addition to being Big it's a race/class specific item, does the Player need to be that race/class?

The Steed you are referring to only allows one to carry an extra Big Item. The Steed does not use it, nor give you the ability to use it, just the ability to have it in play to begin with. So, the player has to have the ability to use it to use the Item or must set it sideways.
