tongue deamon with cursed thingy

Hi all!
my group and I playe the other day, and we suffer from some difficulties with the cursed thingy card from munchkin 2.
first of all, while holding a cursed bow with ribbons may I change my race and lose the bow?
If im holding a cursed unnatural axe may I use a 2 handed object in order to lose it?
or use\carry another big item in order to lose it?
or changing the class...
plus, I have used a cursed real bastard sword while fighting the tounge deamon.
while facing it, you must discard one object before the fight.
can I discard the cursed object?
after all, the toungue deamon ability works like a curse

BTW:I'm using the Hebrew version of the game so some of the translations might not be exact
