Default Calculating Binding ST

How would one calculate appropriate Binding ST based on load limit of the binding substance?

Say my Binding uses a rope with a WLL of 200 lbs. What effective ST will that be?

How strong do you have to be to lift 200 pounds?

At X-Heavy that'd be ST 10, Carry on Back that'd be ST 8, Shift Slightly that'd be ST 5.

So for a rope with a load limit of 200 lbs saying ST 10 looks fine to me.

HT says 1/2" hemp rope has a WLL of 300 lbs. Are you suggesting that the average person can easily snap a 1/2" rope with their bare hands?

If they put as much effort into it as an X-Heavy encumbrance. then properly means braced, full body pull... not end in each hand and pull.

of course double over that rope becomes stronger ad resisting pulls...

So if you tie someone up with a length of that rope, they ought to be able to hulk out of it with a contest of ST?

Well, p. B353 says that a one-handed lift (which seems comparable to a one-rope lift, to me) is 2xBL. So I'd assume that your rope had BL 100, which would make it ST 22.
