True, although I've long wanted to do a Pendragon-style game in GURPS where the campaign goes generation-by-generation.

Yeah, I was thinking about Pendragon when i typed my reply. A perfectly valid kind of campaign (and one I'd like to try) but, nevertheless, not really typical of most campaigns.

Still, i can understand inclusion of age-related advantages/disadvantages even if they will rarely come up (short-term ones, like Youth. do come up in my campaigns)

I was thinking of it more as campaign background, making for a bit richer story.

Though I have to say, I did have quite a bit of fun playing a very active centenarian at one point, came out of the cliche that to train a longbowman you need to start with his grandfather, so I decided to play the grandfather.
