Something that's been bugging me since the '80s...
Who the heck is Joseph, and why is he special? Seriously, the other car names sounded like car names. The Joseph Special sounded like an in-joke.

Joeseph = "Crazy Joe" Harshman who won a Destruction Derby by mounting a .50cal MG on his car and hence created autoduelling.
In later years he fell out of the media spotlight, and into soemthing of a decline and had a tragic death. The Joeseph Special was kind of a memorial to him. All the above subject to memory glitches, as I dont have the books handy right now. regards |
