Really a WW _I_ design ;)
I remember seeing that photo in a book 25 years ago (and the library still has it). It is an odd little vehicle. Thanks.

Is the armour right? I thought cars had DR5-8? The cops asked for the invention of the .38 super to be able to shoot through car doors. their regular .38's couldnt do it with 2d [average damage 7].
Would a 1 hp motor drive an armoured vehical at 46 mph? The renault ft-17 two man tank had a top speed of 4 miles an hour [move 2] with a 39 hp motor.

Did you follow the link provided? It's basically a motorized, four-wheeled bicycle with a machine gun. The only armor is the gun shield.
Still, it'd be scary as hell riding that thing at 46 mph. Fortunately, the gun shield could double as a blindfold.

I'm not sure where you got 46 mph at.
Top speed is 23 mph with the motor, 17 mph when pedaling. The official GURPS bicycle in Steampunk had DR 5. I decided to make the gunshield DR 10 on my own. And yes, it should be a WWI design.

I see one error in your write-up, and also feel a clarification should be made. The armored quadracycle did not use a 1/2 gallon tank of gasoline, but rather 5 mL of distilled liquid win (in fact, this system was never deployed due to the cost and volatility of the fuel). The flammability hazard and range are accurate, as at the time combustion of win as fuel was extremely inefficient. This brings me to the clarification I feel is needed - the fancy hat is in fact necessary for the protection of the operator. The inefficiency of win combustion in the early 20th century meant large amounts of fumes, of which a primary component was awesome. In sufficient quantities, awesome can be fatal, leading to totally wicked deaths. The stylish headgear works to more efficiently channel the awesome such that the operator is not overwhelmed.
. . . I'm going to work this vehicle into a campaign somehow. I have to.

While 3e lists speed in MPH, 4e lists it in Move, or MPH/2. So, in 4e, you multiply by 2 and get MPH ...
