I am level 9 and open the door. I pick up a monster, doens't matter which one. I could win the fight to go to LV 10 and win the game. Another player plays Annihilation on that monster to take it out of the game.
What happens now? Can I open another door, since my room just vanished? Do I just get to loot the room and draw another door card face down? Could I still look for trouble? Last edited by Yukimura; 03-05-2010 at 10:44 PM. |

Your turn proceeds as if you hadn't found a Monster, since the card has its effect actually canceled.

Okay, so if I Loot the Room draw Divine Intervention face down, and I play Annihilation on it, do I draw a new face down door card?

No, you don't and I don't know what would imply that you could. You drew the card, you have to play it because the card says so, but you play Annihilation on it when you do, sending DI to the card box. Nothing on Annihilation says that at just-drawn card gets replaced, and I see no way in the rules or on Annihilation to infer otherwise.

To add to what Erik wrote, there are cards similar to Annihilation that allow you to replace the card that was canceled. But they specifically state that fact in the card text.
