During a recent game we had a disagreement on the Cleric's ability to remove curses from other Munchkins. We had a situation where a player cursed himself to move monsters towards him 1 room, causing it to move into the same room as the cleric. The cleric wanted to remove the curse from the other munchkin, we argued since it was self imposed the other munchkin could refuse the help.
Wanted to know what the "official" opinion was for removing a curse from another munchkin. Must the assistance be requested, or can the cleric remove any curse he wants? One option we came up with was to have each player roll a d6 each each, highest getting to decide. Thanks |

There is nothing in the rules or on the Cleric card to imply that a "self-inflicted" Curse has any special protections. The Cleric can cancel any Curse as it happens, or remove a persistent one, without concern as to how the Curse came about.
