This is just a personal opinion, and probably a little clunky, but I always had a bit of a problem with Unaging compared to other Age-related ads, so I came up with this setup:
Start with Longevity (3) Youthful Appearance as a perk (unneeded, but otherwise you get ever older looking) Reduced Thresholds (1-2) reducing the frequency of rolls. 1 caps the rolls to the second threshold(70 for humans), and 2 caps it at the first (50). The savings compared to Extended Lifespan reflect the lack of decades/centuries of lifespan beyond reaching maturity. With Rapid Aging, treat them the same way (the first level of RA is reduced in value by 50% with RT 1, and 75% with RT 2). Long Lifespan is 1 point if you're 100-200 years old, and another point per doubling of these values. For example, Adam Monroe (from NBC's Heroes) has lived 400 years and change, but looks youthful, and has gained quite a bit of power. He's got 9 points invested in his age (Lifespan 3, RT 2, Youthful). With those same 9 points, 3 levels of Extended Lifespan combined with Longevity make him look about 50-something with an insane number of years left, but not immortal. The only other option is 15 points for Unaging. (a bit of a gap there) Another example is Claire, who would pay no more than 6 (maybe 4 including Latency), where the same effect in lifespan would mean almost 100 before rolls or a 9-point jump to Unaging. opinions? (don't really care... just wanted to throw something out to think about) |

I belong to the camp that thinks that all age related advantages are absurdly over-priced, so I use Reverend Pee Kitty's house rules from here.
I like your mechanic in spirit, but it's still charging way too much for something that is pretty much flavor.

I'd say he's physically about 25, with a hard 400+ year life adding a dacade's worth of appearance. the example was to show how bad the existant rules are. My version basically says "you spend 5 points to only worry about one stat a decade or two, a perk to look forever young, and 3 points of UB for access to all the skills you ever learned, default or no"

For this I'd say: Unaging (House Rule cost 5, Special Effect: Ages, but too slowly to matter in campaign time.) (5)
