you can just talk to your players about it (probably shouldn't discuss it while a game's going on) and try to make a house rule about it. my friend wants to get munchkin dice and we found out what dark does so we already made a house rule that the dark whatever doesn't get the level unless the monster was at first losing but because of cards played by the dark whatever, the monster wins.

Yes, a house rule is tempting. However I have gained a reputation in my house for being a rule purist. They call me the Rule Nazi. I've only ever made one house rule. No bidding wars (i.e. every one screaming about how little treasure they'll take to help, even before a person asks for any). That's why I kind of balked (and bit my tongue, at the time) at Andrew's comment about the "intent" of the 2.6 second rule. I would understand needing to know the intent of a rule that is vague, but the 2.6 second rule seems crystal clear to me, and it doesn't say "win or lose". Sorry Andrew. No disrespect meant, but I prefer a literal interpretation whenever possible.
