Default Questions about the Dabbler Perk.

This is the perk from PU1 which gives you improved defaults with a few skills. Two questions:
  1. Does it only affect attribute defaults or can if work with skill defaults?
  2. Does it improve your defaults with all specialities of a chosen skill or does each speciality count as a seperate skill?

It says attribute in it's description, so I'd say no to skill defaults.

Given the example in PU2 uses a speciality, I'd have to say count each skill seperately.

It does, and Kromm is careful with his phrasing, so I suspect that "no" would be his answer. I don't see a big problem in allowing it, though.

I'd say it works fine from skill defaults, and applies only to specific specialities. Think of it not as "improving defaults", but "has put 1/8 point (25 hours of study) into each of 8 different skills." That's what it is aiming at.

I agree with the guys above me on count B, that each specialty needs a separate treatment. On count A, I'd be in doubt, however since Dabbler represents actual training, albeit very superficial or long-forgotten training/study in the skill it does indeed increase defaults. Not like it's going to make a huge difference anyway, unlike the Charms or Shortcut to Power perks.
