I recently signed up to get a few issues of Pyramid to see how I like it. In reading about it, it has also occurred to me that submitting an article might also be rewarding (after reading a few issues at least, as recommended), so I was idly looking over the Wish List: http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/wishlist.html
Since I'm new to the magazine, sorry if this is an old question, but does anyone know if that's still updated? It seems like, if it were, that there'd be more words filled on the issues that're eminent, but everything's marked at having 1000 words written. Now, if I were an editor, remembering to change the word-count-o-meter on the website every time I'd OKed an article would drive me batty, so I can't say I blame anyone if that's a sort of atrophied interface. I'm mostly just curious. Ben

Like everyone else in the SJ Games world, I was off work last week (and away from a computer for most of it). And before that, I was working to get ahead on Pyramid so we could be off for a week! Which is to say, the Wish List was a bit neglected for a few weeks.
I've just done an update with fairly accurate information as of Right Now, and I'll hopefully update it more this week as the mighty Pyramid production engine revs up to speed after a week off. Hope this helps! |

I don't want to give away any dirty little writing secrets here, but it may help potential authors afflicted with writer's block while while staring at the wish list to come up with something they want to write independently of the wishlist, and then think of a way to retroactively attach it to a theme. It'll require revision passes, but the business of writing is rewriting.

I'd definitely like to see the next Fantasy issue dedicated to DF.

And there's decades worth of adventures, locations, and magic items out there (not to mention traps and foes); one merely has to convert them from the systems they're currently written up in...
