Given the general method of doing things is small PDF's, I'd say unlikely. You'd probably be more likely to get PDFs on TL8 motorbikes or TL6 automobiles. Basicly, a type of vehicle in a particular time period.

The GURPS Vehicle Design System has been in the works for quite some time now and has apparently been written, but not yet published. There's a fair few gearheads waiting eagerly for that. :D

I cannot wait either. Most of the stats in the Core Rulebooks have worked fine so far, but I find myself winging a lot of things that could be more clearly defined.

What kind of things? If you have specific questions, people will probably be happy to help out right here. :)

I don't think that's what the OP was asking about. I personally am much more interested in the vehicle collection. I'd be OK if they did it PDF-wise as long as it's compatible with what gets developed in the VDS. I'd love to see a big compendium of vehicles, but I'd be happy with stuff like the following:
  • TL 5-6 Cars
  • TL 10-11 air and grav-cars
  • TL 7-8 motorcycles
  • TL 6-8 boats

You're almost certainly going to be disapointed, then, at least if you're looking for perfect, 100% compatibility. Kromm has stated fairly often that familiarity with big, complex design systems is simply not something they're going to ask of 4e writers. Anyone writing a vechicle book will be looking at the real-world stats, and converting that directly to a stats block, not feeding it through the VDS. It's the VDS' job to be compatible with that, not vice versa.

You may be in luck, then. Check out the e23 wish list entry. Now we just need someone to write them. :-)

Well, I did start a project about converting the Guide de l'Auto into GURPS terms and you can find some samples here. It's not complete but still, it's better than nothing.

Each supplement will describe 7-15 closely related vehicles of a particular era, nation, and/or class (preferably all three). Vehicle format will be identical to that used for vehicles in GURPS High-Tech and GURPS Ultra-Tech. Stats will be assigned in line with real-world stats and with the vehicles in print books (mainly the aforementioned tech books and the GURPS Basic Set) - not calculated using GURPS Vehicle Design. Contents will include:

* Brief introduction and overview.
* One- to two-page description of each vehicle, including crew, crew skills, and components.
* Vehicle statistics in a table, using the notation and abbreviations on pp. B462-465.
* Appendix describing special components used by the vehicles.
* Adventure seeds.

For real-world vehicles, the author should also attempt to locate public-domain photos to illustrate the work. If the vehicles are fantastic or futuristic, the author will instead have to provide detailed art specs, and be willing and able to work closely with an artist.

Sample Titles:

* Vehicles: Classic Roadsters
* Vehicles: Cold War NATO Fighter Jets
* Vehicles: Enchanted Flying Machines
* Vehicles: Fantasy War Wagons
* Vehicles: Modern Motorbikes
* Vehicles: Modern U.S. Fighter Jets
* Vehicles: Patrol Boats
* Vehicles: Sports Cars of the 80s, 90s, and 00s
* Vehicles: TL10 Space Marine Strike Vehicles
* Vehicles: WWII Axis Tanks 1944-1945
* Transhuman Space Vehicles and Traveller Vehicles titles use the same specs, with the additional requirement of being consistent with setting canon.

Word Count: 13,500 to 27,000 words.
Required Reading: GURPS Basic Set, GURPS High-Tech, and GURPS Ultra-Tech. GURPS Vehicle Design is not required.
Outline: A preapproved template is in development, but we will also consider outlines submitted by authors in the meantime.
Seems to be that the PDFs are going to be rather narrow and specific in scope.
