Default [Psionic Powers] Do machines and golems suffer damage from TK Crush?

Psionic Powers introduces TK Crush ability, which enables you to "crush someone's internal organs with a steely glare" (Psionic Powers, p. 54). Then, what happens if you use this ability on targets who lack "internal organs"?

Actually, TK Crush ability is simply an Innate Attack that's modified with:
  • Based on IQ, +20%
  • Malediction 3, +200%
  • No Signature, +20%
  • Nuisance Effect, Must stare intently and directly at the subject, -5%
  • Psychokinesis, -10%
  • Variable, +5%
and there's no obvious limitation that means this ability only affects living beings with meaningful "internal organs".

Then, what if your target has No Vitals, Unliving or Homogenous? Is the phrase "crush someone's internal organs" a mere flavor text, and is this ability equally effective against zombies, skeletons, golems, automobiles or wooden slabs? Or does it have a hidden 0% special effect that serves some usefulness in exchange for making it ineffective against nonliving targets?

A side question: In the abilitie's statblock, "Nuisance Effect, Must stare intently and directly at the subject" is supposed to be a -5% discount, but isn't it too small? It seems nearly equal to "Vision-Based, Reversed", which gives -20%.
