[UT] Weapons suitable for ST13-17 characters?

Greetings, all!

I'm looking at Ultra-Tech's weapon tables, and finding very few weapons for above-average ST. There are few ST 12 examples, but then the tables jump to 18M. So I'm wondering: what should ST 13-17 characters (e.g. Heavy-Worlders) pick? Is there either (a) something other to do with the MinST achieved or (b) a way to scale weapons for intermediate STs (between the 'standard' 5-10 and the Mount-class 18)?
