Who here make their own maps?

...and what computer programs do you use? I'm currently fiddling around with MSPaint, and then printing out through ACDSee Classic 4.22.

I've come as close as I can this way, but have one problem. If I use a 2-pixil thick line for the 1" lines and a 1-pixil line for the 1/4" lines, I find I'm out 1/16" over 8". I can get an exact measurment if I use 2-pixil lines for both lines, but they look a bit unwieldly in the printout.

Any suggestions?
