Yes, I know there are a lot of threads talking about friendly monsters. I've read a lot of them, but I'm still a little bit confused. So I've done these groups for better understanding it:
Group A) Never fight you under certain circumstances.
Group B) Always flee under certain circumstances:
Group D) Allows you to do something in order to not fight the monster. You can do this at any time (even if ou are in combat).
Group E) Others
My general question. a) Which of this groups/monsters are friendly?. I assume that if a friendly Monster is the only Monster I'm facing, I may Loot the Room as if I hadn't faced a Monster at all. Some related questions: b) If I'm facing multiple monsters, when can I take Treasure of the Plague Rats (if I'm an Orc), the present of the Pack Rat (If I have no Items in play), or the present of the Fowl Fiend (if I have a chicken on my head)? c) I'm an Elf, I open a door and I found the Booble Head. Can I play a cards (Magic Lamp, Dead, or similar) to remove the Monster from the combat without fighting it? Thanks

This is incorrect. You can choose not to fight it at any time.

No, despite it being friendly, you don't get to loot the room. (Or at least as far as I understand it) Quote:

That's not quite correct. Here's the applicable quote from the rules (emphasis added): "If you did not meet a monster, or you met a friendly monster, you search the room . . . draw a second card from the Door deck, face down, and place it in your hand."

Though that makes it seem if the monster is friendly, gives you treasure, you also get a face down door? |

If the monster is friendly and gives you treasure, i.e. the Amazon towards females. You then have the option to either take a face down door or look for trouble.

Since when? If you faced a "friendly" Monster, you are allowed to Loot The Room as if you had not faced a Monster, but by no means are you allowed to Look For Trouble.

I thought looking for trouble was part of the "loot the room" phase. Well then I stand corrected. |

i don't owe all those cards, it's quiet few sets translated in Russia, but as i remember, friendly monsters are those, that don't fight you from the very begining (an Amazon for example), but if a monster is greedy (as Floating Nose) or too "lazy" (as Stoned Giant), it is not counted as friendly... you have to go away before he changes his mind and don't have time to loot the room.
so it seems only group A which is friendly... though i'm not really sure, i'm correct. |

I'd like to add to the question here. If a monster won't pursue you because you're not a high enough level, does that also make it friendly or do you just run away from it and automatically succeed?
