Ghoulfiends and Insurance Salesman

I've checked the rules, errata and FAQ (and in most cases tried searching the board). If I still missed that there in fact is a solution already avaliable, I apologize in advance.

Anyway, onto the questions:

6. Does one-shot items played from your hand to gain bonus help you out vs Ghoulfiends or Insurance Salesman, respectively?
